Quartz clock for indoor/outdoor use. Operated with mains 230V or battery, lithium (outdoor) or alcaline (indoor). Housing in aluminium. The mains 230V operated models stops during power failure. With option ‘running reserve’, the clock will run during a power failure for up to 12 hours.

Westerstrands radio operated clocks are controlled via radio signals containing information about year, month, day, hours, minutes. Signals are sent from various sources. RDS-clocks receive signals from the public FM band broadcasting channels and DCF-clocks from a transmitter in Germany.

Each clock is fully automatic with a built-in microprocessor and a receiver for time code signals. The receiving of an approved signal is indicated by a red LED on the movement.

When the clock has received and accepted a radio signal, it steps forward to the correct time with fast impulses. Automatic control of the hands is done at 12:00 and 00:00.

The clocks are available for battery (lithium) or 230V AC operation. The mains 230V operated model stops during power failure. When the power return the clock automatically steps forward to 12:00 o'clock and waits for a radio signal. On receipt of signal the clock is set to correct time with fast impulses. With the option ‘running reserve’ the clock will continue to operate during a power failure for up to 12 hours.
